Today I was so sleepy,
And to make it was the ploy,
In the lyft ride that I rode,
With the Uber Personality, LeRoy.
“Thankful to be alive” is what he greeted,
But with an energy that could be felt.
His face was hazy in the dark,
But his personality; any ice would melt.
He was a mechanic by trade,
Which he traded for driving in his car.
So thankful he was for what he has,
Driving people around, made him feel like a star.
He was so proud of his car, which he bought,
For $800 from an auction and repaired.
It fills up in $23, and lasts him a while,
He only thought of making money, of gas little he cared.
The money he makes today in a week,
Will make you feel jealous and his mom proud.
He is good at what he does and loves it too,
That message you will hear clear and loud.
He is thankful to Lyft, Uber, his Girl and God,
He is thankful to everyone in his life.
He is one who sees the beauty of the rose, not the thorn,
He is sure to get all in life he would for strive.
He told of stories of so many people he had met,
One can only wonder how much more wiser he can get!
To all the passengers who would ride with him
Will feel like a winner after the ride, i can bet,
Oh and about my sleep, you must have guessed,
I didn’t sleep a wink, of which i am glad.
Sharing life’s views and learning from him,
Missing that would have been really bad.
To topple the balance of the world towards good,
The world needs more of people like LeRoy.
